Wellness is an Attitude

As an appropriate signal for starting a conversation, the word HELLO was adopted in 1870 by users of the new communications device called the telephone. Today, it is my privilege to be starting this conversation with you some 140 years after the invention of the telephone with a BIG HELLO! It is my hope that in the coming weeks and years, we will enjoy a sustained relationship in which I can give you insights, tools and techniques and valuable guidance on attaining and maintaining WELLNESS in every area of your life and being.

My goal is to raise awareness and inspire you into action – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually – so that you can achieve your highest potential and live life to the fullest. So let’s begin by exploring how wellness is not a destination, but rather an attitude.

Wellness as an Attitude

Rather than being a goal or destination which exists outside of you, wellness is an attitude which resides within your mind and which permeates every aspect of your life! Being positive in nature, an attitude of wellness positively moves us through obstacles and life challenges by minimizing pain, suffering, worry, anxiety, and replacing them with fortitude, faith, trust and ‘the glass is half FULL’ perspective! Ultimately, it propels us forward along the path to freedom from ignorance and suffering, showing us that we can choose to have a healthy, positive mindset, and that by so choosing, we can minimize and even transform a potential ‘negative’ into at least a neutral, and maybe even a positive experience.

But don’t take my word for it. For the next 7 days, make a resolution to view and interact with your world from a positive attitude. Be alert and aware as situations occur, and consciously make yourself choose to stay centered and positive, and then observe how you feel physically, mentally and emotionally at the end of the day, compared to your usual way. I look forward to hearing from you about  your experiences, thoughts and insights.
